Lucky Dog Cuisine now offers Grass Fed, Hormone Free Beef in all their beef-based recipes for dogs.
Holistic pet food company transitions without raising prices!

BLUFFTON, SC, July 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lucky Dog Cuisine, makers of the finest, all natural, cooked meals for dogs is proud to announce they are now offering local, hormone free, humanely raised, grass fed beef in all of their beef-based recipes. In addition, Lucky Dog is providing this healthy option without raising their prices.

"It was very important to me to work with a farmer who was local and who believed in treating his animals in a humane way. I looked for almost a year to find our supplier. We also needed to keep our costs in line and have the ability to custom blend our meats. Our visit to the farm was well worth the search. Del and his wife, Deborah spent several hours showing us their home and their cattle. Not only did we find a wonderful supplier, but we made some great friends too!" says Dr. Janice Elenbaas, founder of Lucky Dog Cuisine.
More and more, health conscious Americans are turning toward grass fed meats for their personal consumption. This healthy awareness is extending to the choices they are making for their canine family too.
According to Mayo Clinic cardiologist, Dr. Martha Grogan, MD, grass fed beef is richer in anti-oxidants and has up to four times more Omega-3 fatty acids and CLA's than regular beef. These protect the heart and have anti-cancer properties. Nutritionists at UC Davis have found that grass fed beef has almost double the amount of beta-carotene. This free range beef is lower in cholesterol and in calories.
Since the cattle do not graze on grass treated with pesticides, it ensures that your dog will not be eating any either!

Lucky Dog Cuisine is also adding more heart to its recipes- literally! Cow heart is rich in Q-co10, which also protects against cancer and is essential for cell production. Heart has B vitamins, folic acid, selenium, phosphorous, zinc and twice as much collagen and elastin that regular muscle meats.
Lucky Dog is constantly striving to produce the finest quality food. They refuse to use any ingredients that are 'pet grade'. Pet grade means ingredients unfit for human consumption. U.S. federal law permits the sale of condemned meat for use in pet food.
