JK Harris Enrolled Agent Peter Hukki Advanced Taxpayer Representation Forum to learn how to best advocate for his clients.

GOOSE CREEK, SC, October 09, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Peter Hukki, an Enrolled Agent with JK Harris and Company, LLC, attended the eleventh annual conference on Advanced Taxpayer Representation and IRS Procedure conducted by the American Academy of Tax Practice. The three-day event was held Sept. 9-11 in Las Vegas, NV.

The forum is an advanced program, held annually, which covers topics in Collections, Employer Tax Issues, Preparer Penalties, Filing and Reporting Disclosures and Appeals. Also covered were topics regarding non-filers and practice administration. Hukki joined other federally authorized tax practitioners, including Enrolled Agents, CPAs and attorneys, from around the country for a comprehensive conference on the advanced aspects of representing clients before the IRS.

"Every year, this forum covers some of the most important topics to the tax practitioner," said Hukki, who has been a Licensed Tax Representative at JK Harris since 2004. "Attending the forum helps me in my continuing education as a tax practitioner, which in turn helps me to better assist my clients."

Hukki has been an Enrolled Agent since 1974. Currently, he is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and has served as a Director and Treasurer on the National Board. He is a member of the South Carolina Society of Enrolled Agents and is a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners. Hukki works in audit representation and prepares complex tax returns at JK Harris, the nation's largest tax representation firm.

The American Academy of Tax Practice is a professional institute devoted to tax practice education and the training, developing and sharpening of skills depended upon by federally authorized tax practitioner who practice before the IRS.
