Invista Increases Investment in Ashburn Hill Corp.
INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials will increase its investment in Ashburn Hill Corp., manufacturer of apparel for industrial and firefighting applications.

KENNESAW, GA, September 12, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials, a division of INVISTA, will increase its investment in Ashburn Hill Corp., manufacturer of the next generation of flame-resistant apparel for industrial and firefighting applications.

INVISTA is delighted to be able to invest additional funds in order to support Ashburn Hill in realizing its potential," said Jeff Brown, vice president of INVISTA Performance Materials. We anticipate that the revolutionary protective apparel developed with Ashburn Hill Corp. TECGEN fiber will offer significant improvements in comfort and protection to workers requiring protection to NFPA 2112 and 70E standards.

This year, Ashburn Hill launched TECGEN XTREME protective apparel for firefighters " a comfortable, breathable alternative to turnout gear that is compliant for up to 75 percent of firefighting responses. The company also recently revealed its prototype 70E garments, the most revolutionary of which is a lightweight, 6.5-ounce, open-weave HRC2 fabric. This latest innovation for industrial worker apparel takes moisture management in flame-resistant apparel to the next level.

We are pleased that INVISTA has chosen to increase its stake in Ashburn Hill Corp. said Jon Heard, Ashburn Hill Corp's president and CEO. This is a very positive signal at a time when Ashburn Hill Corp. is in the process of scaling up production of what we believe will be a range of products that will raise the bar in terms of comfort and safety in the field of firefighter and worker protection."
