Frederick + Frederick Architects Offer Realtor Service to Aid in Today's Buyers Market
Frederick + Frederick Architects offer real estate agents a service to evaluate homes for potential home buyers to weigh pros and cons of properties.

CHARLESTON, SC July 31, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With an influx of available houses in today's real estate market on the rise, Frederick + Frederick Architects offers a service to aid realtors in persuading potential home buyers. The Realtor Service offers architectural insight to potential home buyers who are looking for a different perspective on possible home choices.

For a home buyer that has narrowed their choices to two lots, Frederick + Frederick will evaluate each lot and discuss the pros and cons of each site, not based on price but on an independent review of project assets and deficiencies. In addition, if a buyer is looking to purchase a house that is not in perfect condition, Frederick + Frederick can provide consulting on feasibility and price of desired projects and explore creative means to achieve design goals that the client would not have thought of on his or her own.

Architect Michael Frederick sees that most home buyers are not aware of what they really need in a home. "Most home owners look at the site for the view or what the structure looks like without taking into account how it will function," said Frederick. "We have been able to evaluate a lot for home buyers so that they can choose a home that works with the land as well as with their family's specific needs."

According to the 2008 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers conducted by the National Association of Realtors, the typical home buyer searches for 10 weeks and views 10 homes before making a final bid. In the 2007 report, home owners typically searched for eight weeks and viewed 10 homes. With home buyers more cautious and reluctant to invest in a home, having a building professional available for input proves helpful.

Architect Jane Frederick finds that offering buyers a perspective from the designer's view has allowed reluctant buyers to confidently bid on homes. "When we visit home sites we evaluate how well the home works with the landscape, how easily renovations could be made and what design elements work best for the home owner's needs," said Frederick. "In today's tight economy, home buyers want to make sure that they are getting their monies worth and because architects have an understanding of what will make a home comfortable and lasting, our evaluations allow the buyer to feel at ease when making that investment."
