Acadia HCS Hires John E. Smith as Chief Executive Officer
Top 25 CTO and Benefitfocus veteran to lead Acadia HCS

Smith has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chief Technical Officer. Smith brings over 15 years of organizational and software management experience with technology leaders such as Benefitfocus and General Electric. In this role, Smith will be responsible for the overall management and expansion of Acadia's global products and services. "The HCM and Workforce Productivity markets will continue to see double digit growth, and Acadia is uniquely positioned to take advantage of that growth", says Smith. The company will look to Smith to revolutionize its products and services to meet the growing demands within the HCM and workforce productivity markets.

Smith was Chief Technology Officer of Benefitfocus, leader in software and services for the healthcare benefits market. In 2006, InfoWorld Magazine, a leading publisher of technology information, rated Smith as one of the Top 25 Chief Technology Officers in the country.

Smith has also served as a leader in General Electric and several startup organizations. Smith holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a MBA from Georgia Tech.
