JK Harris helps Washington man ground tax problems
Washington man gets the help he needed from JK Harris and Company to resolve his IRS issues.
/South Carolina News Articles/ - NORTH CHARLESTON, SC, May 18, 2008 - Finding out you owe the IRS back taxes is not a pleasant surprise, especially when you are not able to pay the amount owed in full. Fortunately, there is help available for taxpayers in situations like this.
Engineer Luther Steele was shocked to learn he owed the IRS back taxes: $4,012.11 to be exact. Single and without any dependents, Steele hadn't realized he had claimed the wrong number of exemptions on his paycheck until he received an IRS notice in the mail. That's when he sought the help of JK Harris, the nation's largest tax resolution firm.
"Mr. Steele's error was a common one. He had the incorrect number of exemptions for being single with no dependents to claim," said Steele's Case Specialist.
Steele worked with JK Harris, and found out he could make payments over time through an Installment Agreement, which JK Harris helped him set up. The IRS allows taxpayers to pay their tax debt in smaller, more manageable amounts. The amount of the payment and the number of payments the taxpayer makes will be determined by the amount owed, divided into equal monthly payments, plus a one time user fee.
"Mr. Steele was so happy with the way we handled his federal liability, he asked us to handle his state income tax problems as well," said Steele's Case Specialist.
"Having tax problems is extremely stressful," said Steele. "Thanks to JK Harris, my life is much better. The whole process of one on one consultation has eased my biggest fear."
