Local Songwriters Christmas song contest for charity performed at the Sunfire Grill and Bistro December 18.
Local Songwriters who regularly perform Monday nights at the Sunfire Grill and Bistro at 1090 Sam Rittenberg Blvd in Charleston SC are creating a means of residual earnings for charity. Charity is everlasting and this is our way of giving everlasting love to those less fortunate.

/South Carolina News Articles/ - CHARLESTON, SC, December 07, 2006 - The brainchild of Suzanne Somers and others, local Carolinian Artist's and Songwriters, a song for Charity is a chance to provide for the less fortunate for a long time to come. Sponsored, in part, and judged by the Sunfires owners, this event promises to be a potential guiding light for charitable events in the future. The idea of a song airing during the holidays and earning, at least, the songwriters royalties is not only unique, it can have a snowballing effect.

The window of opportunity for air time for a holiday song is small. You do not often hear a Holiday song say in July. The potential is in musics ability to span the globe. The more area aired, the more royalties paid. The more royalties paid, the more monies contributed and this allows more, less privileged, persons to be provided for.

Additionally as a song grows in popularity the more we find it on Holiday recordings and more recordings purchased. This actually allows for public envolvement and satisfaction because their purchase goes directly to the charity.
Think about how many homeless, orphaned and underprivileged children could receive warm clothes, shelter, food and yes, even toys from this gift. This is yet another gift that keeps on giving, and it does not continually pursue peoples pocketbooks, at Holiday time. It simply helps by being heard.

So come and join the Carolina Songwriters Night Christmas Song for Charity Competition, Monday Dec 18 begining at 7P.M. at the Sunfire Grill & Bistro 1090 Sam Rittenberg Blvd Charleston, SC 29407 - 3359

So take some time and come join us for the great menu of the Sunfire and enjoy the original music of Suzy Somers, Frank Waddell, Chris Tidestrom, Ed Carlberg, David Owens and more. It is a free evening of relaxation and a fun break from you Holiday shopping blues.
